Help For Seniors

The Elderly Nutrition Program provides meals served in group settings such as community centers and churches and also deliver people’s homes.
Meals On Wheels
Meals that are delivered to the home are for older adults that cannot leave their homes and prepare healthy nutritious meals. These meals are delivered to homebound persons by volunteers.

PHCS participates in the Meals-on-Wheels program in the Glendale Heights area. For information on a Nutrition program in your area please call the Illinois Department on Aging Senior Helpline at 1-800-252-8966 or visit the Meals-on-Wheels web site.

Transportation is important and allows access to services such as health care, social and nutritional services and shopping. Transportation Sometimes transportation is the only link to the outside world that people may have. Providing this service can help prevent isolation and allows older adults to live more independently and have more social interaction.
