Private Duty Services

Through our Private Duty Services, we help patients remain independent at home. Whether a patient needs on-going care or assistance for just a few hours a week, we work with the patient and his/her family to customize a plan that meets their specific needs.

Our Private Duty Services are delivered through two programs, Home Nursing and Home Services.

Home Nursing

This program provides Registered or Licensed Practical Nurses (RN/LPN) and/or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on an ongoing or hourly basis. Through our Home Nursing Program we collaborate with our patient's physician to ensure a care plan is developed that meets their specific needs. Examples of the services we provide are:

  • - High Tech or Infusion Care
  • - Medication management and administration
  • - Wound Care
- Patient and family teaching
- Assist with grooming, bathing, dressing and oral hygiene
- Mobility, transferring and positioning assistance

Home Services

This program provides non-medical Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) who assist with activities that help our patients meet the demands of living independently and maintaining a personal residence. This program provides flexibility to our patients and their families in that we provide customized care for either 24 hours a day or for a scheduled amount of time during the week. Examples of the services we provide are:

Assistance with activities of daily living and personal care such as:

- Bathing
- Dressing
- Meal planning, preparation and/or feeding
- Medication reminding
- Exercise and/or ambulation
- Toileting
- Transfers

Other activities such as:

- Aid with reading, writing letters and correspondence
- Companionship
- Household chores such as light cleaning and laundry
- Respite care
- Shopping, errand running and appointments outside of the home

What Makes Us Different

We offer a wide range of individualized Private Duty Services. A member of our staff will come to your home and provide an evaluation to determine your specific needs.

Don't feel you need to arrange for a large block of time - we can begin care within 24 hours and customize a plan to address your needs. Your Nurse, CNA or PCA can be with you around the clock or for a few hours a week. It's your choice as to how much care you need or want.

We are not a placement agency. We retain the responsibility of employing your Nurse, CNA or PCA. This provides you with added protections because we:

- Provide overall supervision and management to ensure care is delivered according to the care plan and our policies and procedures
- Verify background checks and drug screens as well as certification and licensure requirements
- Pay appropriate employment taxes, unemployment insurance and social security taxes
- Hold worker's compensation coverage

Medicare provides coverage for short-term or intermittent Home Health Services but not Private Duty Services. Some medical insurance and long-term care policies provide coverage for skilled nursing and/or non-medical personal care services. We accept most insurance plans as well as private pay arrangements.

We help you determine the level of care you need and work with your physician when needed to ensure your needs are appropriately met. To learn more information or to determine if you are eligible for services, please contact us at (630) 949-8301 or at
